Ingersoll Yankee Radiolite Made in USA Ingersoll is America’s original watch brand. During their years timeless creative urge, Robert and Charles Ingersoll, the founders of one of the oldest American watch manufacturers, established many milestones in the field of developing pocket and wrist watches. They followed an ambitious plan that incorporated on one hand, to offer watches to the broad public, and on the other hand to offer reasonable prices while maintaining real quality. In 1892, thanks to Henry Ford, they succeeded in developing an automated method of production, first for pocket watches and later for wrist watches. Alongside the existing handcrafted production of Ingersoll watches, an automated production of watches was established. With high quality and precision, at the very reasonable price of 1 dollar, the so called Dollar Watch was born. The success of the dollar watch, also called Yankee Watch was amazing. The Ingersoll brothers had to adapt to increasing production and increasing production plants. The product range, had been expanded by some technical pioneering refinements and production of the smallest pocket watch ever seen had begun. In 1919, the Ingersoll brothers developed the first watch with the so called night design , the Radiolite with luminous dial.

Roskopf Swiss Made Patent # 30353, designed dated 15 December 1904 by Ch. Leon Schmid The history of the creation of the Roskopf watch is so closely entwined with the life of its inventor, Geoges-Frederic Roskopf. The merit of Roskopf was to create, in watchmaking, a new article, useful, invaluable, exploitable, and to set up the manufacture of it, though, he revolutionized the practices and especially the routine which reigned amongst masters of the outworker watchmakers of his time.

Ball Time Argentan Swiss Made 781 The ball watch was conceptualized by Webb C. Ball, born in Frederick Town, Ohio on 06 October 1847 and eventually became a jeweler and watchmaker. When the standard time was first adopted in 1883, he was the first jeweler to use time signals, bringing accurate time to Cleveland, Ohio. Although, the Ball Watch Company did not manufacture watches directly, it helped developed the specifications for watches used in railroad service. Webb Ball has established strict guidelines for the manufacturing of sturdy, reliable precision timepieces, including resistance to magnetism, reliability of timekeeping in 5 positions, isochronism, power reserve, accompanied with record keeping of the reliability of the watch on each regular inspection. The colloquial phrase on the ball purpotedly derives from Webb C. Ball’s watch standards and their reputation for accuracy.
